Pilates Body and Mind - founded by Penny Brian in 2011
I discovered Pilates following a back injury & found that it not only gave me relief from back pain - but also a balanced & full body workout.
This unique exercise method gave me strength, muscle tone and flexibility. It was also incredibly relaxing - which was much needed with the demands a young family had put on my body.
I was so impressed - I decided to undergo the rigorous training required to become a Body Control Pilates teacher!
At Body Control
I am a teacher at the prestigious Body Control Pilates Centre, near Covent Garden. London. I teach both private and group classes, to students & the public alike.
I am also a Supervising Teacher for B C P assisting student teachers with their training. I attribute my ability to manage all of this - to the balance of Body and Mind that my Pilates practice gives me.

For me, Pilates & our sessions together are about good functional movement - that improve your body on a day to day basis. Whether a top athlete, dancer or simply going about your day. I continue to regularly attend classes, courses & undertake personal study to increase my skills & knowledge as a movement teacher.
As well as Pilates, I study Anatomy, Fascia & other movement techniques & recently qualified as an Advanced Myosfascial Training Teacher !
It took several years & a lot of hard work & study - but the improvements to body movement are undeniable!
I have a particular interest in neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s and MS. I really understand the particular requirements needed & I love sharing this knowledge & seeing the benefits to clients
My Private Studio with its Reformer, Tower , Chair & Ladder Barrel is especially useful for getting the most from our sessions - helping you feel the benefits faster!
But I also love teaching a good challenging Mat class too!
